Simply Power Yoga

"Simply Power Yoga is a community dedicated to the promotion of overall well-being of the body, mind and spirit. I have found SPY to be a place of welcome, encouragement and empowerment where each person is accepted where they are in the present moment and inspired to be the best version of themselves."

Favorite pose
"I have several and one that I am really enjoying is airplane. Airplane combines strength, flexibility, and focus. It feels like flying! During yin restore classes, my favorite pose is supported locust pose.  Using blocks under the shoulders and an eye pillow under the forehead is fantastic for people like me who sit at a desk for several hours a day. These two poses offer opportunities to explore in different ways and remind me that I need both types of yoga - hot power yoga and yin restorative yoga in my overall yoga practice."

"I found this studio in January of 2024, taking classes as a student and taking coursework for teacher training.  I had been taking yoga on and off for years and had completed 200 RYT in 2021. At that time, while I enjoyed learning more about yoga and was diving into anatomy, I wasn’t quite sure I would teach. The variety of classes at Simply Power Yoga allowed me to try a bit of everything. I started taking Yin Restore whenever I could fit it into my busy schedule.  I have always been a productive person, a “doer” and used to find it hard to sit still until I found yin restore.  The teachers here are all unique and have a way of guiding the practice that promotes flexibility and relaxation. I was able to meditate and achieve a level of relaxation that I had not previously. I decided then that I wanted to teach and give back to others what I had received.
As a teacher, I welcome students to a safe space to connect to yourself, a sanctuary of empowerment to simply be, for the betterment of all. As a student, I thank all the teachers who have held space for me along the journey with special shout out to mentors Jenna and Karen, and of course Heidi for creating such a wonderful supportive community!

When not teaching or taking yoga, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, playing soccer and watching FC Cincinnati. Michelle is a Commercial Lender/Banker and lives in Loveland with her husband Blake."
