Favorite Yoga Posture
"It’s hard to choose one, but I love tree because it’s a metaphor for life for me: growth come
from a steady and stable foundation. From there possibility emerges and we can challenge
ourself with arm placements, gazing upwards or closing our eyes. Like life, sometimes we
struggle to find our footing or things feel rocky but we can take seated tree, supine tree, or use
the support of the wall. It always meets us where we are."
More about Me
"I first came to SPY for the 200-hour teacher training in 2019, completing the program shortly
before the pandemic began. The depth of the training and self-inquiry changed not only my
physical practice, but how I moved through the world. I continued to attend classes and began
the 300-hour training program in 2024, ready for a deeper dive into functional anatomy,
leadership, and living yoga philosophy on and off the mat. It became clear that I wanted to
formally step into teaching and opted to repeat the 200-hour training in 2025. Not all paths are
linear…just like a posture, we might lose our footing or shift our focus but we always have the
opportunity to begin again.
I’m inspired to teach for the same reason I return to my mat and personal practice again and
again: I deeply believe in the healing power of yoga and the importance of living an embodied
life.
Outside of the studio I’m a wife and mom to a son, daughter, and a rescue pup. I work as an
organization development consultant helping teams enhance their effectiveness by working
better together and coaching executives and emerging leaders."
