Yoga

Simply Power Yoga offers classes for every level and every body.  Each class is unique and creative allowing you to experience yoga in a new way every time you step onto your mat. Classes are heated, warm and non-heated.

 

Heated classes: 95-98 degrees with 50% humidity
Warm classes: 80-85 degrees, no humidity
Non-heated: 73-75 degrees, no humidity

  • Heated Classes - Students 14 and over, for students 14 years of age they must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Warm/Nonheated Classes - Students 10 and over, for students 10-13 years of age they must be accompanied by an adult.

Yoga 101 Flow - Yoga for Beginners

Beginner Level -  Yoga 101 Flow is a 60 minute class designed to keep it simple and empowering. The focus of this class is on building a framework for your yoga practice that includes constant, focused breathing and strong, safe poses with proper alignment. Whether you’re truly a beginner or a seasoned yogi looking for a fresh start, this class will challenge and inspire you.

Power Flow 45, 60 & 75 Minutes

ALL LEVELS:   This is the high energy, creative and powerful SPY class focusing on alignment and personal awareness of the breath.  The flow moves at a moderate pace. Inversions and arm balances are integrated throughout the practice. You build strength while gaining flexibility. Get ready to move and sweat! 

Grounded Flow

ALL LEVELS: Discover the depth and power of the pose through the integration of your feet, hands and core. Get ready to breath deep and move with purpose.  The intention of this class is to stay connected to the earth to create stability and centering in your body.  The class moves at a slow to moderate pace.  

Power Flow & Sculpt

All Levels Welcome - This class combines the dynamic movement of power vinyasa sequences and light weights to integrate and strengthen the muscles of your body. You will develop lean muscles, core stability and lower body strength. The class will end with deep stretches and hip openers. 

Vinyasa Flow

Beginners to All Levels.  Vinyasa flow moves your body through a variety of poses at a moderate pace. The fluid movements help increase flexibility, strength, and endurance while calming the mind.  Temperatures are comfortable to keep the body open and relaxed. 

Slow Flow

Beginners to All Levels. The class moves at a slower pace giving students space to work within each posture to connect deeply with their breath and to discover what works best in their bodies.  The sequences will be simple and intentional working through every part of the body leaving each student with an unique experience of movement, breath and calmness. 

Slow Flow and Yin

All Levels: Combine the world of Yoga with Yin Postures. All the poses performed are suitable for all fitness levels. The class moves at a slower pace giving students space to work within each posture to discover what works best in their bodies.  The key muscle groups we like to challenge are shoulders, hips and hamstrings, but we touch a bit of everything else in between. Think "Active Rest Days".  Class is in warm temperatures.

Release and Restore

This non-heated yoga class is for anyone looking to stretch, relax and release tension. Suitable for all fitness levels, this class will use gentle movement and Myofascial release to dissolve muscular and mental tension. This "active recovery day" class is the perfect compliment to training of any kind. Use this class to feel relaxed and refreshed after work or sport or to prepare you for a great night's sleep.

Yin and Restorative Yoga

YIN YOGA

Yin Yoga class consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body—the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer. Yin Yoga calms and balances the mind and body.  It also reduces stress and anxiety.  Yin Yoga increases circulation, improves flexibility, and balances the internal organs. 

RESTORATIVE YOGA

Restorative Yoga is a form of yoga that seeks to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation with the aid of props. Restorative poses are held up to 10 minutes using props providing the body with total support to completely surrender into each pose.  Benefits of Restorative Yoga enhances flexibility, deeply relaxes the body, stills the mind and improves capacity for healing and balancing. It also balances the nervous system and boosts the immune system. It will help you develops qualities of compassion and understanding toward others and self. 

REIKI, YIN/RESTORATIVE & OILS

What is Reiki?  "a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient's body and restore physical and emotional well-being."

This class allows students to enjoy the benefits of a yin and/or restorative class, while our featured oil of the month diffuses in the room. After the teacher guides you into a comfortable position, certified level 2 reiki providers will connect with each student to help move energy and find full relaxation.  All levels welcome. 

Pre-registration for SPY North is required. 

MASSAGE, RESTORATIVE AND BREATH WORK

This class  combines Massage, Restorative Yoga and Breath Work to completely relax the student while creating therapeutic healing techniques for the body.  Discover ways to use your breath and massage therapy to reduce stress, sleep better and release energy in your body that is no longer nourishing.

Simply Power Barre

Simply Power Barre is a 45-60 minute fun and powerful class.  Designed to effectively strengthen, tone and balance the entire body. We offer fat burning workouts that integrate the use of the ballet barre, light weights and various props. Students will focus on form and precision while performing small isometric movements as instructors emphasize basic alignment, foundation, and specific muscle actions. Each class includes several highly effective sequences of toning and resistance exercises with an emphasis on the core, arms, seat and thighs.

Sculpt and Strength 45

All Levels welcome to this fun and energizing class. Discover new ways to tone and sculpt your body. The class will be broken down into intervals of body sculpt with weights, strength and high/low intensity movements.  Get ready to have fun and sweat! Tennis Shoes are required for the class.
