YinRestorative Yoga and the Nervous System

This workshop will explore the anatomy of the nervous system, and both contemporaryand traditional theories of nervous system regulation through the lens of personal experience and self-inquiry. Each day will be an opportunity to sample different styles of yin and restorative practice (e.g., restorative soundbath, myofascial release, yoga nidra) and discuss their unique benefits and practical application for managing stress and improving health and well-being. We will apply the concepts of tensegrity, proprioception, interoception, neuroception and discuss poly-vagal, myofascial meridian, and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) meridian theories. The intension of this workshop is to facilitate community sharing and exploration and is suitable for all levels.
About the Presenter: Jenna is a RYT-500 and Thai Yoga Bodywork practitioner. She uses her background in cognitive psychology and curriculum design to craft immersive experiences that engage participants' whole being—body, mind, and breath.
