Teacher Training

Registration Begins February 1st! 

Simply Power Yoga 200 Hour RYT Power Yoga Teacher Training Program beginning August 2012: Application 

If you are ready to take your learning, teaching and life to the next level this program is for you. The program will challenge you in ways you never thought possible.   We will explore yoga philosophies, meditation, the physical practice, assisting, anatomy, yoga as a way of life and much more.  The program will be interactive with the real-time classes at SPY.  Students will be assisting and teaching during various times.  The program is by acceptance only.

The program will begin September 2012 and go through March of 2013. We will meet one weekend a month, Friday 6-9:30pm, Saturday 10-6:00pm and Sunday 9-3:00pm.  The weekends will include special guest speakers, and workshops.

The program will be lead by Heidi Fricke, Certified Baptiste Teacher and Gina Fennell, RYT.   

 Tuition:

• Tuition is $2,400 and is due August 1, 2011. Upon acceptance into the program a $100 deposit is required.
• If tuition is paid in full by July 1, 2012, the amount decreases to $2,200.

Scholarship Program:

SPY Yoga will be offering a scholarship to one applicant.  The applicant who is chosen will attend the program at no cost.    The decision will be based on the information included in the application as well as financial needs of the individual. Please take your time in completing the application.

Applications and requirements:

• Applications are due April 1, 2012
• A head photo must be included with each application.
• Students will be notified of acceptance May 1, 2012. 
• Students accepted into the program are required to read, The Heart of Yoga by TKV Desikachar and prepare a 2 page essay to be handed in at the first meeting on August.
• Students are also required to read, Journey Into Power by Baron Baptiste and have a strong knowledge of the 90 minute flow and understanding of philosophy by the start of the training.
