In early 2010 Heidi approached me with her plan to open Simply Power Yoga inLovelandand asked if I would be part of her teaching team. We discussed the studio’s philosophy, her intentions, the program and I knew right away that this place was going to be powerful and special. We also discussed the challenges at hand and I told Heidi without a doubt there was no one I would rather walk through any potential fire with than her. Of course I would be part of SPY!
As the original studio has grown and touched the lives of so many people in the community I too have grown as a facilitator, student and human being in more ways than I can put words to. I spent years traveling across the country to be with a sangha I love dearly. (big shout out to the East Coast Dharma Punx crew!) I have been lucky enough to find this same level of spiritual connection right here.
So when Heidi was approached by a student to consider opening another studio in the AndersonTownship area I knew that I had to be the one to do it. I have lived in theAnderson/Mt.Washington area most of my life, my husband and I are raising our family there and if anyone was going to represent SPY in my neighborhood with Heidi it was going to be with me. Sure, there is always fear of failure or success but having the opportunity to serve my immediate community in this way out weighs all the fears. With the support of our friends and families I know in my heart that Simply Power Yoga 2 inAndersonwill be its own special and transformative place. I am honored to share our practice with anyone who comes through the door.

September of 2010, the first Simply Power Yoga opened its doors in Loveland Ohio. When I opened the doors to the community, I was also opening the doors of my life to what is possible when you believe in yourself. I have to be honest and tell you I never thought I was good enough to have my own studio. I was afraid of failing and not looking good in front of everyone. I have realized fear and self-doubt have kept me from doing a lot of things in my life. It is not about being good enough or having everyone like you. It is about having trust and faith in yourself and showing up 100% for what you believe in. It is about following your heart and turning your dreams into reality. If you truly believe in what you are doing, no one can ever question your authenticity. Now, I would rather fail at something then never to of tried at all. Yoga has changed my life and I want to share this gift with the world.
